Here it folks. After four games, some major revisions have to be made when looking at Packer players for fantasy sit/starts.
Aaron Rodgers- Must start. Rodgers is a top 5 QB talent wise. He will finish in the top 10-12 if nothing changes protection wise. Chad Clifton is expected back in 1-2 weeks. If he gets better protection, he will be top 5. You can’t bench him against anyone unless you are stacked at that position and have Brady, Peyton, Brees, McNabb, Warner.
Ryan Grant- Grant is the Packers workhorse. He is the red zone back and catches the ball well. That by itself is enough to make him a great fantasy option. Hes getting 15-20 touches per game. Like Rodgers, unless you have other elite options, he is a must play. He will finish in the top 10-12 RB’s simply by staying healthy.
Donald Driver- Driver is the go to WR right now. Because of protection issues, he is being targeted and thrown to almost twice as much as GJ. He is a great WR 3 or even flex play going forward. Currently sits at around the 15th overall WR depending on format.
Jermichael Finley- Finley is being involved more and more in the passing game. He has off the charts athleticism and good hands. Linebackers cannot cover him one on one. He is a great bye week filler. As a starter, he is boom or bust. He will have some long catches, but could be shut out some games because his route running is very raw.
Greg Jennings- A top 5 WR talent-wise. Because of protection issues, GJ does not have time to run deep routes and double moves. Since 2007, he has the most plays of any WR over 40 yards. It is time to downgrade him to a top 10 overall WR for fantasy as the Pack’s O-line will not consistently give Rodgers protections. Furthermore, teams are gettting to Rodgers with only 4 down lineman, negating the play action plays which have been so successful.
